BPCE, the central institution responsible for both the Caisses d'Epargne and the Banques Populaires, officially come into existence on July 31, 2009. Acting as a veritable governing nucleus, it is responsible for the corporate strategy, control, coordination and management of the Group, and guarantees the solvency of the whole.
Boasting a deep-rooted local presence close to their customers, the Caisses d'Epargne rank among the foremost banking institutions in their regions. Thanks to their full array of bancassurance products and services, the French savings banks help all economic agents – private individuals, self-employed professionals, companies, associations, local authorities, etc. – in the pursuit of their various projects.
BPCE International et Outre-mer is the holding company responsible for supervising Groupe BPCE’s investments in the international market and French overseas territories. A wholly-owned subsidiary of BPCE, this entity is currently comprised of 31 direct banking affiliates.
