In order to pursue the ongoing growth of Groupe BPCE, our different subsidiaries take on a large number of new recruits every year.

Recruiting, integrating, and winning the loyalty of our people

To recruit the very best candidates, our subsidiaries pursue an active recruitment policy that combines partnerships with several schools of engineering and business administration, universities, and training institutions throughout France; they also organize advertising campaigns in the different French regions.

At the same time, more innovative approaches such as “job-dating” sessions are being organized at a regional level. Applicants are shortlisted during a telephone interview and subsequently invited to a branch for a one-day recruitment session when they are invited to sit a series of professional aptitude and personality tests, carry out a sales simulation exercise, and meet a HR officer and manager from the subsidiary.

Promoting and accompanying employees’ career paths

For the different companies belonging to the Group, the skills and expertise of their employees represent a key factor for growth and efficiency. As such, supporting and promoting the career paths of its individual employees is a key aspect of the HR policy adopted by the Group, which devotes more than 5% of its aggregate payroll to training.

An ambitious program – combining the development of business, behavioral and managerial skills – was launched in recent years. Based on the complementary nature of in-house and third-party training courses, it emphasizes a pragmatic, hands-on approach and uses a variety of innovative training methods: serious games, virtual classrooms, instructor-led sessions or e-learning solutions, etc. In all these cases, the goal is one and the same: to update the employees’ knowledge, enhance their expertise and prepare them to pursue a professional activity.

For example, all new recruits attend induction training designed to allow them to familiarize themselves with their company, its business activities and products, and the regulatory environment. Employees that so desire may prepare a banking qualification in the ITB Banking Institute or study for a post-graduate diploma (DES) in Wealth Management and Consultancy Services, designed for employees specializing in private banking.

They may also take advantage of the numerous complementary managerial training programs offered by the Group developed, in particular, within the framework of a partnership with the ESSEC School of Business Administration. A development and support program created for future senior managers (Advanced Management Program) was also set up.
